Case 51

Presentation:

31-year-old female PE suspected low pretest probability. V/Q SPECT was performed using Tc99m Technegas aerosol for ventilation and  Tc99m MAA for perfusion study.

Describe the findings:

Fig-1: Ventilation (top)- perfusion (bottom)

Fig-1: Ventilation (top)- perfusion (bottom) scan demonstrates complete perfusion defects in the right lung with preserved ventilation.

Image Findings: The study demonstrates normal ventilation in both lungs. There is no perfusion to the right lung with preserved perfusion to the left lung.

What are the differential diagnoses of unilateral V/Q mismatched defects?
